Developing away from the initial Laundromat Animatic, this Pre-Viz introduces a new narrative in an established 3D environment. This outcome was assisted by orthographs, set layouts, and concept art which is compiled under the Pre-Viz video. All these assets helped to refine the idea portrayed in the first animatic and construct a new Pre-Viz:

This Pre-Viz is a development from an initial 2D animatic. The narrative has changed drastically; the most significant addition is the secondary character, Moom Sr. Alongside a new character, the story now focuses on the two's interactions by playing with circumstance.
Sticking to two cameras, the story follows Moom Jr, a laundromat employee, as he stacks a detergent display. Moom Sr enters with his luggage from the previous Bell Hop scene and notices Moom Sr warily. Moom Sr loads his clothes into a machine and finds a seat. All the while, Moom is dancing to his Walkman as he stacks his display. With excess detergent boxes, Moom Jr decides to dispose of them in the spinning washing machines. The machines overload and burst from foam as Moom Jr continues to dance to his Walkman. Poor Moom Sr is left in anarchy as the laundromat is filled with a tsunami of bubbles.

Above, a rendered image of the Pre-Viz set using Arnold. Detail is minimal; this is only a Pre-Visualisation and not a fully constructed animation. I tried to use my knowledge of Arnold and Maya lights to add atmosphere and character into the scene. The composition has minor flaws, but conveys ideas successfully.

A first detailed look inside the laundromat set within our collaborative animation. I was heavily influenced by 80's interior design and colour palettes.
Above, a second camera angle of the Laundromat. This composition shows the centre of the Laundromat. I tried to commit to the design choices of my first piece of concept art by sampling the same colours and using the same prop placement. Moom's detergent display will be located on one of the rugs.
